Mythic Dev Assist | Unreal Engine Agentic Observability Engine Demo

Mythic Dev Assist (MDA) is your observability portal into Unreal Engine — the bridge that lets your AI coding agent actually see what's happening inside the editor.

If you're using Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex to build your game, you already know your agent can write Blueprints and refactor C++. But it can't run your game, spawn the actor it just wrote, and see what actually happened — so it guesses. MDA fixes that by giving your agent a real feedback loop: spawn actors, fire abilities, capture screenshots, sample Niagara state, query a full session history, and read it all back as clean, structured data.

In this video, I walk through what MDA is, how to install it, and how to get it running with your agent of choice.

WHAT YOU GET • In-editor HTTP bridge (local-only, no cloud account, no API key) • 100+ action routes — spawn, destroy, move, compile, capture, query, and more • 14 standard MCP tools compatible with any MCP host • 18 always-on observability channels streaming live editor state • Per-session SQLite database — your agent gets perception AND queryable history • Dockable editor dashboard with a full request/response log • Claude Code skills included for curated, optimal guidance

WORKS WITH • Claude Code (CLI + VSCode extension) • Cursor • Codex CLI • Any MCP-compatible AI agent

REQUIREMENTS • Unreal Engine 5.3+ • Windows 64-bit • Python 3.10+ (for the MCP server)

This plugin is actively developed — drop feature requests on the forum.
